Sick and Wrong

A favorite activity for many enthusiasts along the Front Range is the Coffee and Cars meet in Lafayette. Once a month the clan gathers - Porsches, MGs, Jags, 'Vettes, Mustangs, Ferraris and more. It's always a pleasant morning of coffee and .... errrr .... cars - some of the best and coolest cars in town.

I was at C&C the other day and one of the oddest, most unusual, and, dare I say, sick, and wrong examples of a car I've seen all summer.

I had a full day planned, but at the last minute Sue said she wanted to do something before I left for the day.  I was anxious to get on with the day, but she was asking, and I couldn't say no.  We went to a Danish-style bakery near the house.  It's one of those places you pass by for years, but never stop, saying ...

Dad Tells A Joke

I must have been 15 or 16  years old.  Dad and I were on a day trip up the North Shore of Lake Superior fishing Brook Trout on one of the many streams he knew up there.  On some goofy back road.   There must have been too much of a pause in the conversation.

Lunch Run

Lunchtime.

We decided to hit our favorite barbecue joint - a high-class scarfing establishment called "Piggin' Out". Piggin' Out is considered to be one of the best barbecue joints in town. Their ribs, like sex on a plate. Their brisket, without equal.  Their sauces, and rubs, ambrosia.

P.O. is only a couple miles from the house, but it was such a nice day - warm, sunny -that  a Canyon Drive, first, seemed like a better idea.  A much better idea.  An Excellent Idea.

Ron was asking about my experiences hanging out with Sports Car Guys of various kinds. He had heard, somewhere, that Porsche Guys can be particularly snobbish. I haven't the faintest idea where he heard THAT ........ but I was quick to assure him that amongst Porsche Guys you had a broad spectrum personalities running from snob to salt-of-the-earth.
