You hear it all the time. Some people think that the Miata is a car made for women, like that's a Bad Thing.
I beg to differ.
I'll admit, it's easy to see why someone might harbor such benighted, misogynistic opinions of the Miata. It's a compact and lightweight car with a small (by American standards) engine. It's easy to own and easy to drive. It's an exciting car to drive, especially in the Twisty Bits. It's reliable. Fun. Friendly; it even smiles at you! It would seem these are qualities some would consider only appealing and certainly intended for women.
The Real World is a much different affair.

I was going to write some stupid defense of the Miata, but it doesn't really need any help when it comes to opinions from the far reaches of Outer Darkness.
I can say this: If you think the Miata is a little too "girlie" for your manly sensibilities, then it's obvious that you've never driven one like you have a pair.
