Sick and Wrong

A favorite activity for many enthusiasts along the Front Range is the Coffee and Cars meet in Lafayette. Once a month the clan gathers - Porsches, MGs, Jags, 'Vettes, Mustangs, Ferraris and more. It's always a pleasant morning of coffee and .... errrr .... cars - some of the best and coolest cars in town.

I was at C&C the other day and one of the oddest, most unusual, and, dare I say, sick, and wrong examples of a car I've seen all summer.

Nice Gallardo
Not long after I arrived at the meet, a lovely, yellow, Lamborghini Gallardo pulled in.

I was snapping pictures as it passed. As it was pulling away, I saw something that was so shocking that I stopped shooting.

And something inside me died.

The owner had placed stickers on the rear window and bumper. Not just any old stickers - the kind that demonstrate wit or personal preference. These stickers advertised a roofing company.

A roofing company.

I was speechless. Why would someone do something like that? Why put any kind of sticker on a Lambo, let alone something as banal as your roofing business? Some folks might use their business as sponsor for their race car, but you never, and I mean never, see someone using a Lamborghini like that.

Sick and Wrong
This guy did.

Suppose he has his reasons, and it is his car. He can do whatever he wants with it. I'm okay with that. Kinda. Sorta. Well .... errr ...... I'm not okay with it. I hate it. I hate the idea - kind of like how I hate the idea of creamy peanut butter. Some may like it, but not me.

I'd rather be shot from a cannon.

But, to each his own. If someone wants to sticker-up his Lambo, fine, I guess.

If I had 500 large laying and got an exotic with it, I think putting stickers on would be the absolute last thing, I'd consider doing.

At least the guy standing next to me had a sense of humor about it.

I wonder how many shingles he can get in that car?
